FONDATION GUTZWILLER PRESENTS

Tobias Madison, Jan Vorisek, Julian Zuber and Dominik Zwahlen spent their last summer travelling with a car from Switzerland to Hong Kong. They shot a documentary on how monuments and representative buildings of former Yugoslavia, the former U.S.S.R. are being represented today. Their aim during the Residency at Fondation Gutzwiller is to continue editing their film in collaboration with Martin Jaeggi and Oliver McGarvey.

On the 10th of July, the subtle flutters emanating from the heart of Andres Zacco’s creative power will sidle into the notorious walls of the Kaufleuten Hof.

Considered by his peers as the most fascinating up-and-coming electronic artist originating from Argentina, the Greener Records top-dog, Andres Zacco, will be introducing his engineer technique and perfect selections in Zürich.

After releasing key records on Airdrop, BPitch Control and his own Greener, Andres is currently inaugurating his first European tour, which already took him behind the decks of Berlin’s Berghain and as far as Romania!

Between 2002 and 2008 Stephen Suckale studied in his hometown at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste, Städelschule in Frankfurt. In Zürich he will be premiering with his first Swiss solo show. Over the years his work ranged from photography to collages.

At the Fondation Gutzwiller he’ll be exhibiting a colorful poster-mural. A bold time traveling experience, a swift review of over 2000 years of art history. Only to arrive in the presence where Suckale points us into the direction of his own work – a mixture of medias – and leave us there unattended.

Der Kanzlerbungalow

Der Frankfurter Fotograf Ingmar Kurth zeigt in seiner Ausstellung den 1963 von dem Münchner Architekten Sep Ruf entworfenen Bonner Kanzlerbungalow.
Dort residierten einst die deutschen Kanzler Erhard, Kiesinger, Brand, Schmidt u. Kohl.
Die Fotografie Kurths zeigt die Architektur des 1982 verstorbenen Ruf als einsamen, stillen Ort. Mit sanft schwingenden Gardinen. Hinter denen man eine Sonne erahnen mag. Mit grauem Steinboden. Zeitlose, entrückte Eleganz, ein wundersamer Ort, menschenleer.

In his exhibition, Frankfurt photographer Ingmar Kurth shows the Kanzlerbungalow, the chancellor’s bungalow in Bonn designed in 1963 by Munich architect Sep Ruf.
It is the former residence of the German chancellors Erhard, Kiesinger, Brand, Schmidt and Kohl.
Kurth’s photography depicts the building by Sep Ruf, who died in 1982, as a lonely and hushed dwelling. With gently wafting curtains. Behind which one can sense a sun. With grey stone floors. Timeless, ethereal elegance, in a wondrous setting, deserted.
